Microsoft word - confirmation letter #6 _off-site activity_

We’re getting close; it’s about three weeks until our Rendezvous begins. I suggest that you both read through this letter thoroughly to help prepare for one of the exciting adventures we will face while on the island. Each year, we attempt to have our guests experience the setting, culture and adventure that makes the uniqueness of our destination. For many of our guests this has been one of the highlights of the event. This year will be no different. On Tuesday afternoon of our event, we will offer you a real taste of Grand Cayman. We have set up a special afternoon and evening adventure – Cayman style. I don’t want to spoil the surprise of our adventure (we will give you details on a need to know basis), but I wanted you to know that our outing does involve spending some time sailing in the North Sound of Grand Cayman. The vessels we have secured for our cruise are large multi-million dollar catamaran sailboats and they are very safe, stable and secure. Still, if you are a person that is prone to motion sickness, I am asking you to take precautions ahead of time. It is easy to prevent seasickness, but much more difficult to remedy the feeling once it has come upon you. So if needed, being prepared is the key to enjoying everything this special outing will have to offer. There are three main, common forms of motion sickness prevention: 1) Anti-Motion Sickness Pills 2) Scopolamine Patches and 3) Seabands or BioBands. I have listed a brief explanation of each on the back of this letter. It would be my recommendation to purchase and try out whatever form you choose ahead of time. Again, prevention is the key in tackling any problem you might encounter. This is definitely an outing that you don’t want to miss by feeling sick. I ask you to come prepared with an attitude of excitement and a desire for adventure. I’m excited to meet so many of you that are new to this event and to welcome back those of you that are old friends and have joined us before. We have a great event in store and a powerful program to share with you. Expect great things! Blessings, Brian Available “over the counter” at any drug or convenience store. The most common types are Dramamine and Bonine. When using this form of prevention, please make sure to purchase the “Non-Drowsy” formula. Also referred to as the “patch.” Available with a prescription and is definitely the easiest form of prevention. The patch is a small round band-aid type patch that is worn behind the ear and lasts up to three days. The patch is best used when applied 5 – 6 hours before the journey. Pregnant and nursing mothers should A “non-drug” that aids in the effects of motion sickness by exerting gentle pressure on pressure points on each wrist to minimize or eliminate the effects of seasickness.
