6.ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES (contd.) ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses. If this cannot be avoided, inform the appropriate authority. Absorb in dry sand or earth or similar absorbent and shovel into a suitable closed container for disposal according to item 13.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
Material should only be handled by trained personnel. Wear suitable protective clothing according to item 8. Protect from frost. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool place.
8.EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Wear goggles or face shield, PVC or synthetic rubber gloves, protective footwear and overalls. If spraying wear suitable respiratory protection, either an air-fed mask or cartridge type respirator fitted with a P2 or P3 cartridge. Wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after use. Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst handling the product.

The water-miscibility of the product suggests that it is likely to leach from soil into groundwater. There is no available data on sorption/desorption. Biodegradable in natural media. No data on persistence There is no evidence for bioaccumlation or biomagnification. Extremely toxic to fish (Permethrin LC 96h (trout) 0.009mg/l) 13.DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS DISPOSAL OF PRODUCT Chemical residues are normally regarded as Special Waste. Dispose of in accordance with local and national regulations (most likely to be incineration). Uncleaned packaging should be treated as for the product. If thoroughly rinsed, it may be treated as general waste for incineration or landfill, according to regulations. Not classified as hazardous for carriage by sea 15. Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where reasonably practicable in addition to the following items
of personal protective equipment.
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
AVOID EXCESSIVE CONTAMINATION OF COVERALLS AND LAUNDER REGULARLY.
Do not breathe spray. Otherwise wear respiratory protective equipment and eye protection (see HSE Guidance
Booklet HS(G)53, “The Selection, Use and Maintenance of Respiratory Protective Equipment – A Practical Guide”).
However, engineering controls may replace personal protective equipment if a COSHH assessment shows they
provide an equal or higher standard of protection.
DO NOT CONTAMINATE FOODSTUFFS, EATING UTENSILS OR FOOD CONTACT SURFACES.

HOUR AFTER TREATMENT IS COMPLETED.
ENSURE THERE IS A PHYSICAL BARRIER TO PREVENT CONTACT BY UNPROTECTED PERSONS AND
ANIMALS UNTIL TREATED SURFACES ARE VISIBLY DRY.
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO FISH AND OTHER AQUATIC LIFE.
REMOVE OR COVER FISH TANKS AND BOWLS before application.
Do not contaminate ground, waterbodies or watercourses with chemicals or used container.
COVER WATER STORAGE TANKS before application.
