National Pro-Bono committee. Helped develop a national plan for the dosmetic
violence project in which free surgery is provided to spouses who have been
battered and require reconstructive facial surgery, yet cannot afford it. I have
been an active participant in this program and have operated on these people
International Operation Smile
Operation Smile is an international organization that provides high-tech surgical training to third world
countries and performs actual surgery on patients in third world countries who are in need of
reconstructive surgery. I have been contacted by Ann Ziff, from Ziff Publishing, who is on the board of
Operation Smile, and have been selected as a surgeon to participate in international pro-bono basis
facial reconstructive surgery done to restore congenital birth defects in patients from third world
