Emergency Overview
Appearance and Odor:
Health Hazards:
WARNING! May cause eye irritation. May cause skin irritation. Injection under the skin by high-pressure equipment may cause serious injury. Most damage occurs within the first few hours; initial symptoms may be minimal. Aspiration hazard if swallowed - can enter lungs and cause damage. Safety Hazards:
Potential Health Hazards: See Section 11 for more information.
Likely Routes of Exposure: Skin, eyes, inhalation.
Inhalation:
This material is a solid when stored at room temperature and is not expected to pose an inhalation risk. Heating may generate vapors that may cause respiratory irritation, nausea and headaches. Ingestion:
Swallowing can cause nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. Vomiting may cause aspiration into the lungs with the risk of chemical pneumonitis. Skin Contact:
May cause skin irritation. Repeated or prolonged exposure may cause defatting of the skin, and/or make skin more sensitive to skin sensitizers. Eye Contact:
May cause eye irritation, resulting in redness, burning, swelling and/or blurred vision. Medical Conditions
Aggravated by Exposure:

Target Organs:
Other Hazards:
Injection of grease under the skin may result in serious injury. If left untreated, the affected area is subject to infection, disfigurement, and lack of blood circulation, which could result in permanent tissue damage and/or amputation. When dispensed by high-pressure equipment, this material can easily penetrate the skin and leave a bloodless puncture wound. Material injected into a finger can be deposited into the palm of the hand. Within 24-48 hours swelling, inflammation, discoloration, fever, throbbing pain and mild central nervous system depression may be experienced. Get immediate medical attention. Potential Environmental Effects: See Section 12 for more information.

Section 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye Contact:
Immediately flush with water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open. Remove contact lenses if worn. Get medical attention immediately if irritation persists. Skin Contact:
Immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician if irritation develops and persists. Wash clothing and clean shoes before reuse. Inhalation:
If overcome by inhalation of hot vapors, remove person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention immediately. Ingestion:
Do NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, have person lean forward with head below hips to prevent aspiration into the lungs. Call a physician or poison control center immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Note to Physicians: None.
Additional Advice: When dispensed by high-pressure equipment, product can easily penetrate the skin and
leave a bloodless puncture wound causing serious. Contact a physician immediately for treatment and/or removal of injected grease. Section 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Use water fog, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam, earth or sand.
Unsuitable Extinguishing
Media:

Products of Combustion:
Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, smoke, irritating vapors, unburned Firefighter Protection:
Water may cause frothing. Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. Use waterspray to disperse vapors and keep adjacent containers cool. Additional Advice:
Section 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions:
Eliminate all ignition sources. Evacuate personnel to safe area. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (see Section 8). Slipping hazard - do not walk through spilled material. Environmental Precautions: Contain spill to prevent environmental contamination. Keep from entering
Methods for Containment:
Stop the spill or leak if possible without personal risk. Absorb with non-combustible material (sand, earth or other inert material). LP-10™ Lithium EP Grease

Methods for Clean-Up:
Vacuum, scoop or sweep up material. Place waste in a container, seal and dispose of safely. Other Information:
Observe all relevant federal, state and local regulations. Section 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling:
Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Do not get into eyes. Do not breath hot vapors or mist. Avoid prolonged contact with skin. If this product is stored or applied in high-pressure systems, such as grease guns or hydraulic lines, there is a potential for accidental injection into the skin and tissues. Grease injected into the skin can cause pain, swelling, irritation, infection and tissue destruction. In the event of an injection injury, get medical attention immediately. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash hands thoroughly after handling and before eating and drinking. Avoid water contamination and elevated temperatures to avoid product degradation. Keep containers closed when not in use. Storage:
Keep containers closed. Keep containers away from heat, sparks, open flame, and oxidizing materials. Do not store at elevated temperatures or in direct sunlight. Additional Advice: Product residue remains in empty containers. Observe all label precautions until
container is cleaned, reconditioned or destroyed. Residual vapors may explode on ignition. Do NOT puncture, cut, drill, grind or weld on or near empty containers. Section 8: EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Exposure Limits
Material
OSHA-PEL
ACGIH-TLV
Engineering Controls:
Ventilation controls are not normally required under intended conditions of use. Provide exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls if airborne mist or vapor concentrations exceed permissible exposure limits. Eye / Face Protection:
Safety glasses are recommended. Wear chemical splash goggles and face shield when eye and face contact is possible due to splashing or spraying of material. Skin Protection:
Use neoprene or nitrile gloves to avoid skin contact. Other skin or body protection is normally not required except in emergency or spill conditions. Protective clothing, shoes or boots should be chemical resistent (i.e. neoprene). If handling hot material, use insulated protective equipment. Respiratory Protection:
Normally not required except in emergencies or circumstances where airborne concentrations are expected to exceed exposure limits. Protection provided by air-purifying respirators is limited. Use a NIOSH-approved positive-pressure, air-supplied respirator if there is any potential for uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not known, or any other circumstance where air-purifying respirators may not provide adequate protection. General Hygiene:
Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating or drinking. Other Information:
Use with adequate ventilation. Personal protective equipment (PPE) should meet recommended national standards. Section 9: PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
