The cells listed below are readily available in the consumer marketplace and are recommended for use as a power source. However, whenever multiples of the items
listed below are used in to power an item (either as individual cells or a battery pack) the
number of cells should be limited to stated number of cells. Some of these items may
have limitations when it comes to specific performance parameters, such as high
temperature storage or low temperature operation. Contact the Battery Approval POC
listed at Appendix D for assistance on which battery/cell would best fit your application.

configurations are available in multiple chemistries (lithium sulfur dioxide and lithium
manganese dioxide are non-rechargeable technologies while lithium ion and nickel metal
hydride- are rechargeable technologies). Although all of these batteries were designed
to meet a wide range of military unique requirements, there may be advantages or
disadvantages for a specific battery type/chemistry that might apply to a given

which battery would best fit your application.
